Ironwood Premiert  (Stallion Prospect, DOB:  7/28/2008) and Ironwood Quicksilver (Stallion Prospect, DOB:  9/13/2009)  Sire:  Ironwood Blitzen, S1, G1, V, E  Dam:  FC Madellin

559Premiert means prized in Norwegian and that’s exactly what we think he is.  Premiert is one of the rare white dun Fjord stallions in North American.  There are less than a dozen.  White dun is an in-demand color for Fjords and there is a  50% chance when breeding to a white dun that you will get a white dun offspring.

Premiert comes from imported lines.  His dam, Madellin, has a high red ribbon score in conformation.  She is a lovely mover and has a good disposition.  Premiert’s sire, Ironwood Blitzen, S1, G1, V, E is a solid performance horse with an excellent disposition that he passes to his offspring.

(Left and Below - Premiert)

543Premiert has a full brother, Ironwood Quicksilver.  Q is very sweet tempered and well mannered.  He is easy to train and loves attention.

Of course, white dun Fjords, like any white colored horse, love to roll.  Keeping one clean can be a challenge especially with foals as they will lay down anywhere!  Q (right and below) looks tan, but he truly is as white as his brother.

516We are only keeping one stallion on our farm and Blitzen has that job.  Therefore Premiert and Quicksilver are for sale.  They have been weaned, is handled regularly, lead, stand for the farrier, and is a very pleasant fellows.  Somebody will have a super nice stallion with either colt.

Asking Price:  $7,000 each through 5/31/10

Ironwood Roheryn (Stallion Prospect, DOB 4/2/2009)  Sire:  Ironwood Blitzen, S1, G1, V, E  Dam:  Lupin S1, G1, V, E and HOF

479This foal is destined to perform.   Lupin is Hall of Farm mare with a performance record in her own right.   She is among the few Fjords to earn all these designations from the NFHR; possibly the only mare in the US to have all of them.  His sire, Ironwood Blitzen is S1, G1, V, E also is a proven performer.  We had hoped for a filly because Lupin is the daughter of our late wonder mare, Serina 2075-B, S1, G4, V.  We wanted to keep that mare line going.  Instead, we were surprised to get a RED DUN colt who is quite correct and has a winning personality.  There are less than 10 red dun stallions standing in the US.  Roheryn is correct, well mannered, and definitely stallion material.484

Asking Price:  $7,000 through 5/31/10

Ironwood Mary Ann (Filly, DOB 6/13/09)  Sire:  Ironwood Blitzen, S1, G1, V, E  Dam:  Lynnhaven Elli

500Our vet swore that he could tell this foal was male in utero.  Elli had already had three colts, so another male would not surprise us.  Instead we had a wonderful surprise -- a filly and a RED DUN.  Mary Ann is named after Tom’s mother and this filly shares all the class and grace of her namesake.  She is demure and easy to handle.  Like the male foals, she has been weaned, leads, stands for the farrier, and is lovely to handle.  Mary Ann’s dam has a blue ribbon in conformation with high marks on her typey head.  Mary Ann has the same head.  This lovely filly would be an asset to a breeding program or would make a wonderful riding or driving horse.506

Asking Price:  $4,000 through 5/31/10.
