Premiert means prized in Norwegian and that’s exactly what we think he is.  Premiert is one of the rare white dun Fjord stallions in North American.  There are less than a dozen.  White dun is an in-demand color for Fjords and there is a 50% chance when breeding to a white dun that you will get a white dun offspring.  And yes, if you buy a white dun, you will have hours of enjoyment scrubbing that horse because they all roll.

He comes from imported lines.  His dam, Madellin, has a high red ribbon score in conformation.  She is a lovely mover and has a sweet disposition.  Premiert’s sire, Ironwood Blitzen, S1, G1, V, E is a solid performance horse with an excellent disposition that he passes to his offspring.

Premiert has been handled since birth.  He leads, ties, stands for the farrier, and is well mannered.  He has  lived in a herd situation all his life, so he is socialized to other horses.  He’ll be started under saddle in August as we believe all stallions should have a performance career.  Please contact us for current photos and a DVD.

Ironwood Roheryn (Gelding, DOB 4/2/2009)  Sire:  Ironwood Blitzen  Dam:  Lupin

This gelding is destined to perform.   Lupin is an S1, G1, V, E and HOF mare.  She is among the few Fjords to earn all these designations from the NFHR; possibly the only mare in the US to have all of them.  His sire, Ironwood Blitzen is S1, G1, V, E.   He also is a proven performer.  We had hoped for a filly because Lupin is the daughter of our late wonder mare, Serina 2075-B, S1, G4, V.  We wanted to keep that mare line going.  Instead, we were surprised to get a RED DUN colt who is quite correct and has a winning personality.  He is going to tall (probably 14.2 or better) and quite a mover.  Current pictures and DVD available upon request.
