We accept consignment sales Fjord horses at Ironwood Farm. Consignment arrangements are based on the condition of the horse -- training, behavior, and suitability for the market are primary considerations. Our consignment arrangements include keeping the horse in regular work, taking the horse to shows, and marketing the horse through electronic media. We make videos and handle all buyer requests.

Selling a horse is not simple. It requires the availability to answer questions and requests, the appropriate setting to showcase the horse, and experience with sales contracts. As one of the largest Fjord breeders in the mid-Atlantic region, Ironwood Farm has the facility, the experience, the market recognition and the skill at selling Fjords.

We treat our consignment horses as if they were our own. We look for an appropriate home that meets the seller’s requirements. No consignment horse is ever sold without the seller’s prior approval.
